Default "Service due" at 1900 mi?

Hi all,
I was just on the Jaguar Remote app and under "Vehicle health" there was a "!" When I clicked (tapped) it says "Your vehicle had indicated that a scheduled service is due." Huh?? I have 1879 miles on it. No warning lights on in the car.

Also, the lock/unlock function of the app isn't working, pretty sure it was before.

Guess I'll call tomorrow but wanted to see what y'all had to say first. And maybe I ~will~ have them wash it to see if the headlights leak again...
Thanks.

I believe it's time "or" mileage so maybe youre at or close to 12 months? There is also (in the UK) a service bulletin that requires the service indicator to be reset as there have been incorrect reports for some owners. Could be same issue? HTH

Was the car sold to you new or did the dealer put it in service and start the warranty. What is your in service date?

Your signature shows a 2016 F-Type. Most likely for annual oil change, assuming it's been inservice for 12+ months. There are also a few other updates and fixes which will get done at the same time.

Thanks folks. In service date of 2/4/17. (That's why I got such a good deal )
So going on almost four months. Four months & only 1900 mi? I better get on it, what a garage queen!
Guess I'll have to make that first dreaded call to the service advisor. Looking up reviews, it looks like ALL of the bay area dealers are less than stellar... I have heard good things about Cole here. Sacramento gets good reviews but is 120 mi away. San Jose is 10 mi but not good reviews...

It is certainly too soon to qualify for the free annual service, but the service department might want to bring it in to reset (or fix) the service message.

Not to doubt, but to verify understanding .....is the 2/4/17 when you bought the car and when it was put into service or by some chance did dealership put the car into service earlier. I bought my car with 76 miles as brand new but it was put into service (warranty started) 4 months earlier.

Thanks folks! Yikes Jaguny, I hope that is not the case! The warranty starts when you buy the car, right?! (New.) Bought the car (new) 2/4/17. Just looked, mfg 1/16! Dang, it's old already...
So I was down in the South bay today and stopped in at Jag SJ. Spoke to a nice chap but he didn't know about the problem. Said I would have to live with it. When I got home I did a hard reset of the phone and no more problem. So.... nevermind
Thanks for the Cole rec Buckingham!
Oh, they had an Ultra Blue Design Edition and a 2017 Firesand R (I thought they retired that color?) $108K but they were willing to deal

Misujerr, the warranty starts when the car is purchased and put into service. This could be by the dealer as was the case with my car although it was a brand new car, never sold to a customer. The remaining warranty on my car was 56 months. Received good discount because of it. If this was the case it should of been disclosed to you at purchase. Did you ask your dealer? Not saying this is your case, just sometimes misunderstood.

Thanks for the info Jaguny! I didn't even know that could be a thing so never asked. They never said anything about it either so I hope it's OK. Will definitely call them to find out.

I thought I had fixed it by doing a hard reset of the phone, but just looked again after your post and it's baaaaack.... Guess I really do need to call MY dealer tomorrow... Also, uninstall/reinstall might fix it. But maybe not at this point.
Also see Jaguny's post about in service date. Might not be when you bought it. Better not be the case for me...
