That said, the manual is VERY long, because it is filled with Legalise. (16,000 pages!!!) Practice your SEARCH skills...use Google with :jaguarforums in your phrase.

So I am aware that a lot of things should be the same between the previous gen and the new gen F-type, but clearly there will be differences.

I can't seem to find anything out there that looks legit in terms of a service manual for the latest gen (2020 onward etc)...

Would such a thing be available through this TOPIx business that I keep hearing about here any there? I'm not overly familiar with exactly what that is, but it seems like you need a VIN to even have a chance of getting access sorta thing...I don't have that currently, but I'm a bit curious about it.

Would it provide the legit service manual info for this latest gen?

Cheers

Yes Topix is the way Jaguar wants you to get service data. It is very complete but real expensive and guys have spent hours downloading sections of the manual. So no easy way to get a full copy. I have an account and it's $20+ for 1 hour of usage. Cheaper with more time and if you are a shop of some kind maybe that would work out?
For me it's too expensive and without an easy way to download and keep everything it's just a money pit.

So your right there is no stand alone service manual from Jaguar and the after market PDF ones are huge and full of repeated info over and over. These are 8000+ page documents! Finding things is not easy!

Yep, those after-market PDF service manuals were constructed using multiple (hundreds?) of Topix downloads. Would have cost them a bit for all the downloads plus time and effort to stitch them together into a single PDF (which they did not do a great job of!), but selling them at $50 to $100 a pop still made good money for them. Dunno why they haven't done the same for later model Jags, my guess is that each Topix download now has some sort of expiry date so they can't be saved and stitched together.
