After a lot of investigation and digging I’ve managed to get the vin of the car I have got my performance seats out of.

the part number is C2d51916 which comes up predominantly as an I pace part number (to my surprise the I pace did have the same performance seats just with base mounted buttons) however I have been told just the one module controls / stores the information for both seats then each seat has its own climate module (which they do).

i just found it odd because every other module seems to have a left and right and that part number pops up for I pace, xf and xj.

i have seen the car they are from and know the reg but wanted to triple check as the modules are non returnable and special order

 

It’s the occupancy module that is vin coded and will throw an SRS light if you use the module from the donor seats in your car. You can use your existing occupancy module on the donor seats. I was told the vin could not be changed on a module.

 

Thanks rob will have a google and see what pops up, as much a I love the car finding information on the f type is proving tricky and the workshop manual is little help

 

My only experience is swapping seats in an XF. 2010 R seats into my 2009 4.2. All the fancy buttons worked but SRS was not good. Tech at the dealership explained the occupancy deal to me.
