Couple of observations:
1.) Car was probably considered a Total Loss from an insurance claim, and the owner elected to do a "Retained Salvage"...So they were paid for the car, minus a small "salvage" fee to retain the car. Then they are trying to sell if for more than that difference to make more of a profit. That is my guess...That happened somewhere along the way??
2.) The statement " Just not in a position to drop 50K-60K! Hence rebuilt and salvage is under investigation." Likely by the time you buy and ship/drive it home, and then get all of the issues resolved (you will likely find many more), you may have well spent near that amount anyway...And will have enjoyed many frustrating days tracking down and attempting to fix issues.
Good luck finding a better specimen...
DC
Edit: I noticed it is a auto sales business...And I love the name "Elite Motors"...Every car they have for sale is a POS, and damaged all over...VERY ELITE!

Good eye Oz. Also appears the reverse lights are missing as well, the rear hatch doesn't sit right, fender gaps are off, and as someone else mentioned, the front bumper cover has been resprayed the wrong color. What a mess! Is this guy even trying to sell it?

Your comment reminded me of a buddy who went parking with his girlfriend when we were teenagers, and ended up in the water. He'd found a "great" spot on a gravel road that had a little rise and then a drop down. His plan was to back in over the crest so they would be out of sight to the main road. Unfortunately, it had been raining. So, a) the roadway had become a bit slick, and b) a small pond of water had accumulated at the bottom of the hill behind them. When he backed over the top and applied the brakes, the car gently slid all the way down into the water - hopelessly stuck (and in the rain). The next morning, several of us got the call to come over had help pull him out. It was no easy task, since no one wanted to risk using one of our cars to pull him up the hill at the risk of sliding down on top of him. But, eventually we got him out. Come to think of it, his next car was a 4Runner.
