Been on for about a couple of months and have got pretty hot.

Here's a close up for you:

I'm sure with more patience, the cut around the pipe could be better, but you get the idea...

Mine goes in for 2nd service soon so I asked the dealer about retro-fitting the later smoked lenses. Here's their response:

Unfortunately we wouldn’t look to fit these as they are not an approved accessory. The lamps are only on the 18 model years, so fitting these to your 2015 F-TYPE would be a gamble and may not even be possible. If it were possible, it could also have an effect on your warranty.
I particularly love the bit about having an effect on my warranty...

Typical dealer response from someone who has no idea what they're talking about. I also am amused by the warranty bit; its hilarious that they think replacing one jaguar part with another jaguar part would somehow void your warranty. I'm guessing you got someone with little actual knowledge or experience.

Default Rear Light units

Total BS, no issues whatsoever. I suggest you order the rear lamp units from Parts, you will probably get 15% discount if you ask nicely and then take them to a competent body shop and get them fitted.

I suggest a body shop as they are more conversant with dropping the rear bumper section than a mechanical shop. It is then a straightforward plug out and plug in job. Simples!

Do you have the part numbers for the smoked tail lights. I have a rodium 2016 R with black pack so I think they would look cool on this combo.

Thanks

Sorry, I bought that kit way back in May 2017 and I no longer have any details for it. Even if I did I suspect the seller went out of business years ago.
Also I attempted to DIY and made a right mess of it, way too many air bubbles, so I ripped them off and have never tried to repeat the process.

I have swapped MY17 red to MY18 smoked and the difference is for me huge. Looks so much better! Direct swap. Only struggle is that you have to disassemble the whole trunk, like everything out.
I have find at least 3 different versions during my search: SAE, US and ECE. So you have to find the correct ones depending on your area.

Yes, I would say the USA version is the most common on Ebay. For part number check jaguarparts.com, just select MY2018+ vehicle.

Default Are the later tinted lenses interchangeable?

Hi
Im Trying to convert the rear lights of a US spec early 2017 model convertible to ECE spec.

I think the rear lights are probably late 2016 build.

Will these newer tinted/smoked versions be interchangeable in terms of plug fit and physically fit the car?

Does anyone have a part number for the set?
Is it T2R24155, T2R10336, EX53-13405-AE, or even T2R17728? My head is in a spin.

The car I’m trying to convey has chassis K33282 at the end.

I currently have a pair of 2017 ECE lights if you want for 500 EUR + shipping.
Parts EX53-13404-AE / T2R10336 (left) and EX53-13405-AE / T2R10338 (right)

Are these for the convertible? Just double checking. Also the car is remaining LHD as it is going to Portugal.

I’m in Dubai. I should take up ownership this week, so long as the seller completes the paperwork.
Where are you shipping from?

Yes lights are the same in coupe/convertible.
LHD/RHD are the same in rear lights, difference is in headlights (and here the situation is trully crazy, so many variations)
I am shipping from European Union.
I guess as you are new here you need a few posts to send you PM, but I can sent here my ebay listing if you will be interested.
P.S.: if you ever need headlights too (LHD), I am willing to sell mine too. (I have 16pin adaptive version)

They have an E9 mark and a RL marking. That is for ECE conformity? I don’t want to have to buy headlights too.
There appears to be two lower lights on the lower valance. They look clear, but they light up red when the fog switch is on. They look way to small for EU spec. I’ve not found out where the reverse lights are yet.

I think that for the conversion these could become the reversing lights and the upper clusters driver side would become the fog?

The amber indicator was on when the photo was taken and caught it on the flash phase.
