I count 3 speakers in each door, and 2 speakers behind the seats, so that's 8 total. where are the other two, if there are two more?

similarly, does anyone know where the extra 6 speakers are in the 700+ watt 14 speaker upgraded system?

When you have Meridian mode activated its uses their Trifield technology which shifts the stereo field so you have a pseudo perfect stereo image despite being to one side of the car. DTS or Dolby mode are flat and lack the imaging I've noticed but the Meridian mode is equalised pooly out of the factory. I recommend staying in Meridian mode and using the following eq setting:



I aslo recommend plugin your phone in via usb rather than blue-toothing music as you may induce digital distortion.

And of course. I recommend not listening to compressed audio. Ever.
