Spoiler Deploy Graphic Reveal
Not sure what yall will think about this, but also not sure if it will work..
However after watching this thread basically since it started, I was wondering if somebody a little more talented could come up with a design concept for a piece I had an idea of.
The biggest problem with adding a decal to these stock spoilers is the angle the spoiler deploys in to. So what if somebody could build a contraption using sheet metal bearings and a couple of tools to implement a drop-down panel to display the decal at a more optimal angle, where it could actually possibly be seen by slightly more elevated cars. Not sure if this can be done as I haven't measured the amount of empty space between the spoiler and the body, but wouldn't it be an interesting project anybody could do to their cat on their own? A piece that can deploy and retract as the spoiler does on its own...

I agree. I suspect that spoiler design on our Jaguars, whether fixed or deployable types are developed with the assistance of a wind tunnel and adding a component to it might create all kinds of unexpected consequences.
Yep. There are people who sell them on ebay as well as other sources. This one is more complete that most others, covering the bottom as well. My bet is he had it done at a local wrap place custom.
I, an ingrate, could not conjure a classier design to mind than plastering "SEND NUDES" across the underside of my spoiler.
The idea of flashing folks with the deployable spoiler while making a pass has me foaming at the mouth trying to hold in the laughter.

Problem of the spoilers on a convertible is the angle you are looking at it.
From down below it looks great. But if you drive behind the jag in a normal car, you can only guess what it should look like.
Doesn´t matter, for me it looks great!

Posted details of UK decal/graphics supplier in similar thread --> Jaguar Spoiler Decal/Graphics Supplier - UK May be of use to someone browsing this thread. It's good to share
I'm one who's struggling with the factory spoiler. The car is all curves and flowing lines, then the spoiler is square with hard edges. To add insult to injury, the exposed area looks like crap. I had a Porsche with a deploying spoiler. It was nested in a fixed spoiler, and when it deployed you just saw the 2 chrome extending rods. And it was completely finished/painted matched the rest of the car. This is a Jag fail, but with high speed events part of the plan, I'm not going to disable it. Spending 1K+ to address is way down on the to-do list.
I would love to at least have it finished in some way, the stick/graphic could work. Any links for US?

Not sure if you saw his earlier posts. He made some and we could buy them. I bought the grey and it went in very easily.

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction!
I think one like in post #17 with the same coverage as yours for my car would be better for the Eiger, but I’m not sure if such a product exists.
How hard was it to install? Perhaps I’m wrong, but it looks like it might require a bit of patience ;-)
Quality 3M tape, $10 cost and 3 minutes to install. Removed the JAGUAR lettering and kept the leaper only for a less cluttered look. Kandy Vinyl Shop is the company and there are 5 colors and 7 sizes to choose from and delivery only took a few days.

Cheap as only $15 AUD for vinyl wrap but several hours to do though. Multiple curves and shapes in all directions so impossible to do perfectly but can simply peel off and reapply the wrap so long as you have cleaned to surface properly first
What size did you go with? 9x4 or 10 x 4.5?
