does anyone know where the grounds on the starter go to. there 4 of them. a silver that is connected to the body of the car. one is coming alternator to starter and one coming from the trunk of the car

I saw your PM. And I basically posted the Shop manual info for the entire starter system above. Only other thing I have are some pics from my Cat install that show the Starter in some angles.
I would highly recommend when you work on anything like this that you are not familiar with, you either document as you go or take phone pics as you go, so you can get it back together.
Some pictures below. All I could find and they may help? My car is under a cover in storage (plus you can't see the starter anyway).
