Default steering wheel leather is separating

Anyone have issues with the leather on their steering wheel is starting to separate from the inner frame? there's an area on my steering wheel where the leather is loose and its no longer glued tight, feels like there's air pocket. not really sure how else to explain the whats happening.

Thanks STMPY. I had actually communicated with Tomas a couple months ago about getting another sw before I notice issue with the leather on my current sw but decided to hold off wait considering the sw im having issues with is already my second one. I decided to put a flat bottom about a year ago and as much as I love the look of the custom made sw ( reminds me of my Audi) I just wasn't ready to spendaspend $800 at this time. I think I may have come up with temp fix anyways, I used a steamer to shrink the leather on area where it was getting loose. I'm sure it won't last.

Is the loosened skin where you generally hold on to the steering wheel?

its loose around the 9'oclock position, I do hold the steering wheel near the spot sometimes but typically higher more at the 10/11 o'clock position.

how long has it been like that?
I think i may have come up with a temp fix, I used my steamer to shrink the leather to make it tight again and i've driven the car the past couple of days and its been alright so far but who knows how long it will stay that way but I usually don't have my hand on that part of the sw, unless Im using the paddle shifters.

Has anyone tried placing a piece of duct tape over the loose area and then, using a very thin hypodermic needle to pierce both the tape and leather, injecting adhesive underneath the leather? I am thinking that the tape should keep any adhesive from leaking back through the hole(s) (and if any does, it will be on the tape, not the leather). This is an idea I have been meaning to try on a small spot on my leather headliner.

saw that fix on YouTube. My only concern is if the steering wheel is heated then it might cause some problems.

Mine isn’t a bubble, it’s more like wrinkles, under my typical left hand position. The leather feels textured. I’ve never treated the leather with anything.

Not sure if I could get a good picture of it without my macro lens - traveling, and didn’t bring it.
