Default Steering wheel volume control

It seems like it takes forever for the volume control on the steering wheel to increase the volume. I have to hold it for several seconds for it to adjust the volume to the level that I want it to be. I usually end up using the volume control knob near the gear shift because it's more responsive. It's that normal? It's as if the sensitivity of the volume control on the steering wheel needs to be increased. My car is a 2015 R.

I rarely use the steering wheel volume controls. I find the knob much easier. But I do have a similar problem with the cruise control. Usually takes forever to set.

Now that you mention it, my steering wheel control is slower than the knob on the console. Not true for my other vehicles, though. No big deal since I find I use the audio system very little.

If you hold the button down it takes too long. Press the button several times and the volume immediately increases with each press.

I'm starting to think that you may be "The Most Patient Man On Earth"

I gave up on the wheel after a week.

As a side note, does anyone know if there is a volume indicator somewhere? I haven't looked that hard, but I've also never had to look hard.

On The infotainment system You can go into the screen setup and select the volume control display and it will show volume on the screen every time you touch either volume control.

They have sorted this on MY18s its now a hard plastic 4 way button for volume and Cruise control, its working as you'd expect, not the vague rubber ones on the older wheels, so they obviously knew it was crap and have changed it

I have simply accepted the fact that the steering wheel controls are crap.
