Default STO-N-GO front plate mount saved me twice.

Thank you Sto-N-Go!

Let's face it - the front clearance is really hard to judge on these cars and the sensors are worthless IMO.

The Sto-N-Go has saved me. Last night I was carefully pulling into a spot and SCCCCRAAAPPP!!!!!!!!! - my heart dropped. The plate and metal basic frame got all scratched up.

The plate itself got bent and scraped at the bottom but I was able to straighten it out laying it on plywood, with a rubber mallet. Back in place already with a basic black frame and looking like new.

The Sto-N-Go pieces are much tougher than a frame or plate, so those take the hit.

The whiskers lower plastic + the Sto-N-Go make a great team.

From now on I will be backing into any spots that have a curb. Hate doing that because is it comes across as a poser move, but hell with that, I am done bending up my plate/frame.

When I took my car to Costco, the tech parked it by backing in vs forward and I should have taken that as an Omen. The rear cam seems to do a fair job at letting me judge curb distance also.

I have found the front sensors on my my16 and my18 to work fairly well. But I do agree the whiskers and sto-n-sho help if I am careless or forget to engage the front sensors (when I haven’t reversed first)

Same 🙋
Aside from the ease of install and the great location for the plate not ruining the "mouth" of our cars, it has done great with saving the front for me. Great product .

Regarding the mouth: I never realized how obnoxious front plates were until I moved to South Carolina where they aren't used. Esp. in the case of the F-Type a front plate is nothing short of an abomination. I recall looking through the pictures of the Blueberry get together and how starkly the difference was between cars with and without front plates.

My friend that owns a VW dealership has sold a few Golf Rs and I told him Sto-N-Go makes a plate holder but they don't care. Dealers LOVE to whip out the drill bit and carve up your bumper.

Sorry, but the plate mounted on the bumper of the F-type looks hideous and degrades the stunning beauty of that nose.
