Default Subwoofer/bass rattle?

I have a 2014 v8s convertible, seems like the center storage above the armrest has a rattle thats SUPER annoying, wondering if it's common. I don't want to have to pay the dealer to fix it..

Is there something in there that may be rattling? I thought the door was rattling as well but discovered it was a pen in the compartment that was rattling against the door.

Not easily accessible, the compartments are empty

i have the same issue, its the lower hinge on the back lockable storage box that rattles...took it all apart to figure this out. Ended up getting some rubber stick on "feet" from staples and made the lock and the compartment close tighter....helped a lot but didn't 100% fix it.

There is a service bulletin that covers the installation of felt tape and foam for stereo-induced rattles. It’s extensive but you can do this yourself if you’re confident about taking all of the interior panels apart.

To address the full scope of the TSB You will need a few rolls of felt tape, a big roll of thick adhesive foam (like 1” thick) and some dynamat. It can be done.

That's exactly what I was looking for thank you!

Would they cover it under Jag certified warranty? Any idea what TSB it is?

You have a lot of good videos on all things XF, I look forward to seeing what you'll do on the XFR!

I haven't developed the waterfall rattle at all - mine was the passenger door speaker. Ended up pulling the door apart and doing the dynamat on the interior of the door and foam tape treatment around the sub and various wires/connectors. Rattle is gone - took about an hour a door really getting into the door frame with the dynamat. Would highly suggest anyone else experiencing this issue to jump right in - super simple.

I had an annoying waterfall rattle. Fixed over the weekend. the most difficult part of the fix was pulling the speaker covers off behind the seats in order to access the roll hoop bolts. Once you get those off the whole thing pops off in one piece. Added some dynamat to the waterfall area and that took care of the issue 100%.

That sounds pretty easy to do - do you have any pics of the actual areas you placed the dynamat around the waterfall?

Unfortunately, I didn't take any. I don't have the parcel storage box in mine, so that was the biggest single flat area - it took about a 3" x 6" piece. Other than that, I put it into the curve, and small pieces in the divided areas around it. You'll see when you take it off.
