Sudden loss of exhaust pops/cracks/bangs
Yes, but you were probably staying out of the revs (as you're supposed to) during the breaking in period. You're probably pushing the car a little harder now that you can. Going higher or more aggressive in the RPMs quicker will elicit more pops and bangs when you lift--especially above 3K.

Lost 80-90% of the bangs/pops/cracks/snorts when you lift your foot off gas after acceleration in Dynamic mode.
Used to have intoxicating sounds since owned in Mar of this year until the weekend, when I discovered this change. Earlier that week, I had sent the car for a detail (included polishing the exhaust tips) and I discovered the change on my first drive after the detail shop delivered the car to my place. Took the car to the dealer: dealer said everything looks OK (Active Exhaust, exhaust flaps open and close as they should). Dealer asked if I had change the gas I used to fill in, which I did not. Detail shop denies putting in gas (driven too little for that). I am not aware of any software update to the car. Very frustrating. Appreciate any help you could provide about potential cause and fixes, and thank you in advance.

So I am hearing from everyone snaps and pops are a software/ECU function. Loosing this with out having a software update is not making sense to me... Dealer still can't find anything and said they opened a case with Jaguar and they are looking into "solenoid data"....
I tired and filled gas at a different station and added octane additive for a test. nothing changed/ snaps and pops are still missing. Could an Over-the-Air update have been applied somehow without my authorization which resulted in my sudden loss? (2018 R for the US market with a SIM card. I think SIM card is inactive though)
Sigh.

I'm sure I don't have any OTA updates other than satellite radio channel information.
I can't see a detailer doing anything to change the running unless they disconnected the battery. That would reset any learned behavior, but would be noticeable through things like the tripmeter and one-touch window operation. One-touch is easy enough to reset, but tripmeter information would be a clear sign.

ay carumba, pretty sure ive done almost that much in my last 2 trips to the US in June/July. Just got back again this evening. PA has some beauuuuuuuuuuuuutiful roads.
I can’t see me ever feeling like I need more exhaust, but never say never I guess. I suppose I would enjoy perhaps a bit more volume when just lightly cruising around, but it’s good as is. When you’re coming after it, these cars are definitely loud enough. My god…
My dealer wants to replace the valves and thinks snaps/bangs can't be from the ECU because "that will increase fuel consumption needlessly and Jaguar won't do that".
Does anyone have a source from Jaguar to indicate that snaps/bangs originate from the ECU? (Maybe this would help me redirect them)

Replace what valves? The valves at the back of the exhaust? Do you know them to be not functioning in some way? Everything I’ve ever heard about the pops and bangs centered around programming.

Dealers DO NOT have access to the ECUs data tables....they can only guess.
Man, I have a feeling you’re gonna be going on an unfruitful financial ride that you are not going to like.

I should be covered via an extended warranty. Nonetheless, it's sad dealers are not as helpful as you'd expect them to be. It has been more than a month and they have not figured things out. This is why I am asking for a Jaguar literature/ resource I could present to them about snaps/pops, to help re-orient them...
