Default SunTek cleaning, Rim Wax etc

So I started using Griots Garage Speed Shine on the SunTek film, and it works great. Just use a soft microfiber cloth to apply and clean, with soft pressure, after a wash.

On the flip side, I used Rim Wax on one wheel (half) and it made no difference at all.

Switched to Meguiars Gold car wash soap, and definitely better that what I was using before.

Lambswool mitt was awesome!

I used Rim Wax on my Powdercoated Gyrodynes before putting them on the car. I would say it didn't make a big difference in removing/keeping off dirt and dust.

So I'm digging out all my old car care item I used on my Porsche 20 years ago... I used something called Professional's Product, but they don't seem to be around anymore. Think the Griots Garage Speed Shine would work as an all around detailing spray, getting bird poop & road grime off well?
Thanks.

I wash off the grime and poop before using speed shine. The speed shine may loosen it up, but it's not really a cleaning product. I have film and cquartz so poop and grime don't stick like they used to.

From one Suntek owner to another: Unhingd gifted me something called Prep n' Polish and it was not only a breeze to put on and take off but let a finished look unlike - better - than any other quick detailer I've ever used. Fabulous stuff!!!

Agree on rim wax, too much work for too little help. Used on F Type which dirties wheels in 10 min after cleaning.

I used this on the new wheels before getting the tires mounted.

It doesn't prevent brake dust from sticking, but makes cleaning noticeably easier. Most of it washes off with just a garden hose. I haven't been a huge fan of the chemical guys products, but this has seemed to work well for a very cheap price.

I've always used this and it actually does keep the brake dust off my wheels. Worked on the M5, Cayenne and Jag. Easy to apply. I spray all euro cars I've owned and it's the bee's knees.

Buy it local and I think you can get it in a bigger can (and cheaper) and sometimes you get free wheel cleaner or something
