Super car
IMHO, I would say No, although it is often referred to as "bordering on supercar performance".
Under 4 seconds for the 0-100kmh used to define supercar, I think, but it now seems to have shifted down to low 3's and below.
It's darn close, though, and dollar for dollar, it's the best performance you can buy these days.

Technically yes.
It lives with Aston Martin Vantage, Ferrari 458, Porsche 911 Turbo, Audi R8, Merc SLS, Nissan GTR, Lamborghini Gallardo etc.
Bugatti, Koenigsegg, Ferrari F12, Lamborghini Aventador, Bugatti, McLaren 650s, P1, etc.. are considered 'Hypercars'

I guess when you put it like that, I'd agree (hypercar still feels like a bit of a ***** name to me)
I think it's an absolutely super car, but it's not a supercar. It's a top drawer sports/GT car. It'll hold its own against some high end competition, but the Jag brand isn't strong enough for it to be a "supercar" in the generally accepted sense of the word. Good parallel is the GTR and I'd argue the Corvette, both have the performance to hold their own but not the brand.
I know when I stomp on it in 2 gear and it hits the rev limiter it sure feels like a super car and don't forget it's a sub 4 sec car

I would say that it is a sports car, as a supercar is meant to set lap times. The F-Type is more road oriented.
As Clarkson said, "Supercars are meant to mess with G-forces, hypercars are meant to mess with G-strings."
