Hi all, addressing a coolant smell, not sure where yet, but if the SC ends up coming off what are the main preventive maintenance items (other than replacing/upgrading the lower and upper plastic pipes at the front of the block) while it is off? 2015 R, thanks!

 

For the SC replace the SC oil and the coupler/torsion isolator and check the shaft for wear/gouges from the coupler spring and if excessive shaft wear then replace (needs a new snout which is the JLR JTB fix for a worn coupler anyway).
For the coolant system replace ALL the pipes/hose/tubes, there are more at the rear of the block under/behind the SC, plus the coolant pump and the thermostat.

 

Might be time for a new SC belt. This is something I've missed and will do soon.

 

Oil cooler gasket and all the intake gaskets.
