Default SVR motor in XJ sedan ....

Jaguar came out with this new model lineup labeling the car as, XJR. Jaguar didn't bother with the 550 hp engine and i stead went straight to the SVR engine.

Same motor as any JLR V8 for the past several years. Different tune. The XJR has had the 550 for the last few years.

What do you guys feel about Jaguar reusing the same engines in their entire line up?

Pretty standard for most manufacturers to do this. Their cost base wouldn't be viable if they had a different engine for each product line.
