Default SVR purchase

Hello group! We just bought my wife a 2017 F type R convertible with low miles. It’s absolutely nothing short of amazing and now Ofcourse I want the SVR version. I’ve found one of only 2 Blue SVR trims in the country . It’s also a 2017 with 21500 miles. Looks to be well kept with a full ceramic body treatment. Asking $79999 which I believe to be fair given the year and miles. It’s currently in Texas and I’m in Pa. This presents obvious challenges but I’m willing to throw caution to the wind as we did with my wife’s R. Hers was a Florida car we purchased site unseen and had it shipped. The blue SVR is not from a Jag dealer . Thoughts good or bad?

BTW if I sneeze and wait the car will be gone and I’m slightly obsessed over it! 😜

Fly out, look it over, have a local Jag dealer do a PPI, then if it's good, drive it home. Solves a few issues all at once.

I contemplated but adding up air fare, lost time at work, wear and tear and miles on the car (1500 miles!) food, gas, etc. it’s just cheaper to have it shipped

I'd go for it and move fast..I'd get a PPI done as soon as possible and see if everything checks out. Another thing to consider asking the dealer for is a high quality walkaround video.

F types are already hard to find, I watched a number get away and it was tough. A Blue SVR is so unique, if it's for you it would be painful to see it sell not to you. Try not to sneeze and move fast if this one's for you

A vibrant color is very unique. I bought my V6S 6MT sight unseen from a non-Jaguar dealer in Texas as well because of the rarity of the manual. Everything turned out great, besides a small door ding on the rear fender and some minor drivers seat wear which was undisclosed. These are things that most people wouldn't notice, it is just me being OCD. But, buying remotely, you can't catch 100% of things. Perhaps 90% like my experience.

I would go for it.

If you have the VIN, you might want to post it to this thread to see if member Ftyperegistry has any info on that car.

Is it the one at Hurst in Lewisville? That’s not too far of a drive for me, I could check it out for you. I'm in Frisco

I was interested in a blue 2017 that came up over here but it ended up being an ex press car used in the initial promotion and I was a bit leery of it, I think that was the hero colour when they launched

Lemonsquad.com for remote vehicle inspection is what i used for my '15 R in Texas and shipped to CA. Also got an extended warranty through lemonsquad for $2100. EZPZ if anything goes wrong i have warranty, and will make resale super easy with it

Depending on the original sale date, it may still be under the factory. At a minimum its worth having a dealer look it up to make sure nothings happened to that car that voids that original warranty or makes it ineligible for an extended warranty.

I love my 2018 Ultra Blue SVR with red leather interior! So, I say buy it! Where in PA are you? I'm located outside of Philadelphia.
