Love love love the Ultra Blue!
BUT...
From my experience with vehicles of differing colors, you will get disproportionate amounts of unwanted attention.
So ask yourself.....
Has my right foot been a problem?
How well do I get on with local law enforcement?

I have a BRG F-Type R. It’s classy. The blue is awesome in a “OMG what is that!” way. It might end up looking dated in 5 years or so. The green is dark enough to show every speck of dust.

Now if that BRG had a tan interior…
Or Brogue. Gorgeous combination. I had to have the BRG, but lucked into the Brogue, which is a deeper and richer looking brown than pictures seem to show.

Which should I go for?
The ‘old school’ color choice is obvious…BRG! So you have to decide whether you’re old or new school… 🤔. I’m old school 😁. Good luck.

Thanks your replies everyone. It seems to narrow down to Blue = modern, louder. BRG = old school, heritage. I think I will go with blue, my current V6S is the same blue and I really like that so the same should look even better on an SVR.

The comments I get on my BRG V6 are always along the lines of it being the only colour a true Jaaag could be. But as others say, I spend a lot of time washing the car, and then it truely pops.

ULTRA BLUE.
In my opinion, BRG only works on models which have sufficient chrome to compliment it.
Generally, pre-Ford models can get away with BRG, but later models run the risk of looking drab oe 'plasticy'. Harsh view, I know, but a blue Jaguar is always a beutiful thing to behold, anyway.

The BRG that I remember as a kid in the 60's was lighter and richer than the blackish BRG of today.
Were psychedelics the difference back then? LOL

UB really says “here I come”. Be prepared for some angry reactions and a lot of comments if you park in your office car park. To those who don’t know me I will always be the woman with the blue car. BRG is timeless. It depends a little on your personality.

If it's a Jag, it has to be BRG.
Sorry - that's the law.

Somewhere I have a picture of a Series 1-1/2 BRG E-Type sitting next to my BRG F-Type. Exactly the same color with the exception that mine has metallic flakes. The E-Type had non-metallic paint. (Most surprising how large and fat the F-Type looks next to the E-Type).

Given we've all become accustomed to modern cars, it's more appropriate to say how tiny the E-Type looks!

The point being that a metallic green is not BRG, BRG is not metallic, it's a green of similar tint with metal flakes.

Don't get me wrong, it's a nice green and all but it's not that deep light soaking iconic British Racing Green that my former XK had.

Insurance totaled my XK over a little ding at the drivers side door and rear 1/4 panel, now I'm looking at a F-Type, just not in metallic green, I suppose one could wrap it in BRG.

The Xirallic paint has interesting properties. In bright sunshine it sparkles and the metallic flakes are small but quite noticeable. However, under overcast skies it looks quite different. Here are a couple of shots of mine taken early in the morning just after a wash, with the sky completely overcast. Sure looks BRG to me.

There have been many variants of BRG over the years, so to say one BRG is more or less BRG than another is rather futile.
