"Video is blocked in our country"

The question still stands about a fuse that can simply be pulled?

Don't know - but don't think it matters. I just did the defeat to mine, and Lizardo was being very conservative. I think it takes all of 90 seconds. I rolled up some pink home insulation and packed the elbow with it and screwed it back on. But then I run without an engine cover. Add 2 mins for R&R engine cover and its a 3-4 minute job.

These symposer parts at the back of the engine are flimsy rubber and plastic, and are clearly light duty, and would not withstand anything more than engine compartment heat. So I can't imagine they are transmitting anything but sound, and I'm pretty sure my 2" of sound deadening insulation will render this quality piece of equipment useless.

Spend most of the afternoon buffing and waxing my truck, so I don't feel like going anywhere in the Jag to see if there is a noticeable sound difference, but I'll let you know after I get a chance to test it.

I don't know if there's a fuse, but blocking the duct is trivially simple. Maybe?

Yeah I’ll just block it then. Thanks guys. Oh btw my engine cover is already off too so I’m sure it’s easy to knock out in a minute.

My exhaust over powers the “fake engine sound” but when the music is off and I’m rolling onto the throttle when driving slow, I hear that stupid buzzing come on. Annoys the hell outta me so hopefully this fixes that.

From the drawings I've looked at, it appears to be passive, i.e. no electrical connections. Perhaps you're confusing this with the active exhaust fuse?

Nothing compared to my AMGs from 10 years ago, be it stock or modified.
OK, so your one of the ones that hears Laurel then... got it... LOL

PS - Older folks don't tend to pick up the higher frequencies that are required in order to hear Yanny...LOL

Yep, harking back to posts 32 & 33 I am definitely in the Laurel camp.
Funny thing is, with the Eurotoys larger crank pulley and VAP tune I now hear heaps of SC whine but I still can't detect any symposer noise.
Maybe it's just too subtle for me, not unlike many things!

Hey! Where did you get the nifty 3D image? Do they have that for the rest of the parts in the car?

A bit of light reading for the weekend - where could I obtain that? I scoped out the stickies and came up empty

This was assembled for OzXFR's V6S, and he was kind enough to share. Don't know what model you have, but there's a lot in common between V6 and V8 F-types.

It's only 480MB and 28,000+ pages...

You might also enjoy my repository of F-type docs. Feel free to copy what you want, I got most of them off this forum.

Not faster than a speeding Unhingdmobile, however. Photons can barely keep up with that...

Awesome! I'm going to the in laws house this weekend, so I should be able to hide out in the garage with the car and the manual and do some studying.

It's anything but subtle. Maybe that word means something else Down Under.
