Those of you who wrapped your F-Type, how much did you pay?

I just got quoted 7300, and 8100 respectively from the two places around me.

That... seems exorbitant, no? I could have it painted for less.

What did you pay?

It may depend on where you live. I had my 2017 Convertible completely wrapped in XPEL PPF for $5200.

I paid $3000 for my wrap (3M Matte grey aluminium) + $500 for a ceramic coat + $500 for window tint and a few other misc items

When I was looking at wrap options I was told that a 'chrome' wrap would also require a clear protective wrap and would cost about $8,000. Any kind of textured wrap like a brushed aluminium would be more than a standard / basic wrap.

When you say "wrapped". are you referring to clear PPF or a wrap that changes the car's color? That number you were quoted, if it's for clear PPF, that's highway robbery. I'm near Pittsburgh and our guy is Distinct Auto (https://distinct-auto.com/) and they do incredible work for a much better price than you got!

Both the wrap and the ceramic price seems very low from what they are in the Phoenix area. My ceramic coat was over double that and from what I have seen wraps run $5k and up around here. You seemed to have got a decent deal to say the least.

4 grand for a high gloss wrap (Inozetek, really looks almost like paint) and a chrome delete as well. I live in the Bay Area CA so costs are usually high.. I agree that above 5K is quite high unless using a specialty product like chrome as mentioned.

I had mine wrapped last week and payed ~$2100 out the door for a wrap and window tint in the Green Bay metro area. The guy who wrapped mine is a one-man operation and has done quite a bit of work for some of my co-workers so he may have given me a bit of an unadvertised discount. I did go from Polaris white to satin pearl white by Avery so I opted to not have the door jambs and under hood wrapped so that alone would have saved on cost. The end result is acceptable for the price I paid.

Yep, I'm in Greensburg. Got my latest F Type R from Rahal in Canonsburg...traded in my 4300 mile '18 Z06. That was a scary fast car, I had done a few modifications that stayed within the GM warranty, pushing 700 HP, but you could easily lose it at about any 2 digit speed....it was like a broadax (like the Vikings used). This 2021 F type R is more like a lightsabar or fencing foil.
Besides those issues, I think this new F Type R is a gorgeous machine.

With a rattle can, MAYBE.

A good quality repaint these days would be into five figures.

Hi, I dont know if there are companies over un the states that do similar but I work a company called logic vehicle preparation centre ltd, check out the Instagram if you are in it @logicvpc we specialize in something called peelable paint. It's a peelable base layer over the factory paint the we then apply real paint and lacquer over the top.

Ben.
