Default The Tiles for Valet & Configurable Ambient Lighting are missing

According to brochure for the 2018 F-Type "Valet" mode is standard equipment for my 2018 R-Dynamic. Furthermore, the window sticker states that the car has "Configurable Ambient Lighting" as an option. Instead of finding those two tiles in the "Extras" window to the infotainment system, all I find is a tile labeled "Track-i" which is identical to "Dynamic-i" and a grayed out "4x4" tile. What must be done to access the "Valet" and "Configurable Ambient Lighting" features?

Window stickers have been known to be wrong - you need to check the original vehicle build spec.

I actually noticed exactly the same thing a few days ago when I was searching for the ambient lighting settings. No configurable ambient lighting tile and those to other pointiless tiles (+ a CarPlay one) displayed instead.

Then I happened to find the configurable ambient lighting settings among the available tile options when setting up a personalised home screen. Swipe right on the main screen to get to the one where you can add your own tiles, and then you can select it among the available options. I think I remember seeing the valet function there too.

I think it's just a matter of a bug in this particular version of the ICTP software. Apparently there's a newer version which removes those useless tiles and perhaps also fixes this.

Thanks. I will try that.

I’m not so sure the order sheet is accurate either. It said the car was to have the HomeLink garage door opener but the window sticker didn’t list it, the mirror didn’t have it, and I ended up having HomeLink retrofitted.

Just checked and can confirm that valet mode also is in there.

Yeah, you can never trust the build sheets or info in topix 100%.

Reminds me of that I should make another attempt to set up my HomeLink.

Default Thanks to you I figured it out.

Now that I found and was able to add tiles for “Configurable Interior Ambient Lighting” and “Valet” I can’t figure out how to delete the “Extras” tiles “Track-i” and the grayed out “4x4”. I will again review the Jaguar video since I couldn’t do that or move tiles from window to window. Thanks so much.

As far as I know there's no way to move or delete the default tiles. Apparently there's a newer version of the ICTP software that removes them.

You are correct. Latest version removes the useless CarPlay button and restores the Valet button in its place.
