Default Tire Cradles

As I was sitting in my dentist’s office reading his latest copy of Forza I came across an ad for tire cradles. I pump up the tyres when the F goes into storage, but I have not used tire cradles. Any recommendations and thoughts? The JLR tech suggested plywood pads.

Unless you're keeping the car in storage for 6+ months; its probably not really worth it. Flat spotting isn't a major issue for only a few months at a time.

Cradles WILL reduce flat-spotting.

But REALLY? You live in the Arizona Desert and you cant take your F (or the other running cars in your Sig) out occasionally, during the winter/off season?

The OP didn't actually say it was in storage for the winter.

Mine's been stored for 5 winters so far. Overinflated the tires, and never had an issue with flat spots.

Same with mine for 3 winters so far, and no issue with flat spot (or any other possible winter storage problems).

Sorry guys been traveling. The Jag goes into storage in April and comes out in Oct. it’s the winter car. The V70R does the reverse. So I have two that are stored for six months. I have pumped up the tires in the past, but cradles may be better and easier. I had a service advisor suggest plywood pads. I also use a battery manager and fuel stabilizer.
