Vehicle just arrived at the dealership this morning. It will still be a few days till I take delivery while they prep it, but at least its here in the state.

Hot damn! Congratz! You're going to love it. And you'll love it even more after the first 1200 miles (assuming you do the recommended break in period)

Have you seen it yet? After all you've been through, not sure I'd believe it 'til I saw it.

Hope you find the wait was worth it! (I think you will. )

I believe the recommended break in period - if you wish to believe such things - is 2,000 miles. For what it's worth.

I am VERY happy for you. Your saga was painful to listen to, but you handled it gracefully under the circumstances.

Congratulations, and I'm holding my breath that this one will be flawless for you.

You are correct, however, the first 1200 miles is the most "strict". It eases off a little after 1200 miles.

Is there any news on what happened to your original car?

So just in case anybody wants to go back and read this whole train wreck, I'll post this here. You who said that I'd probably have to look at the car first to make sure that it was truly there, were kind of right since the driver side side skirt ended up being from 2016 and the passenger side side skirt ended up being from 2015 style vehicles. The dealer will now have to order a replacement 2015 side skirt and I will have to wait additional days before I can pick up my vehicle. I'm still at least a week away from taking delivery, the saga continues.

This entire ordeal has more twists and turns than an episode of Game of Thrones. The difference being you're in the midst of [a] Game of Thorns. QC out the window...

Is this the car you ordered or the Naples car?

I wonder how the 2015 skirt got on the 2016 car. I doubt it was at the factory.

To me your whole story suggests that God is telling you to go buy a Porsche or Mercedes instead.

Naples car. I don't know for sure that 16' RWD models don't get this style skirt. I haven't looked that far into it. Well God should know I don't want a Porsche or Mercedes haha

***on a side note***
Please don't use a water blade on your car (2nd picture/in right hand)

Water blades are acceptable for windows ONLY!

Plush drying towels will bury any slight dirt/debris, possibly left behind while drying, instead of dragging the debris across the car - which will cause scratching and marring.

I cringe at the sight of a water blade - leave it in your shower to do the doors.

I was not there for these pictures, they were taken by the sales guy. I'd never use a water blade. Thanks for pointing that out, I'll scold them appropriately!

Interesting. It would never have occurred to me that he was using the blade for anything other than the windows. Given the compound curves, I wouldn't think it would work well on the bodywork anyway.

I've already let the general manager know verbally and by email: DO NOT WASH car before delivering to me.

The car in the picture for the thread "Lets play a game" showed the same skirts on both sides from what I could tell in the pics so is this a different car?

How does something like that even happen.

One day you will laugh about all of this, hang tough.
