Default Took my F-TYPE to Pocono Raceway for a day at the track

This was my first time at the track - and it was so much fun! 7 other cars joined me in one of their "drive your own car" events, Porsche 911, Corvettes, Camaro, Mustang Saleen, Shelby, Nissan GT-R, it was a blast. I was never passed by anyone, but then again I admit I get converted to a competitive 8 year old boy when cars or go-karts start racing. At the Pocono Raceway there are no speed limits and you drive 2 sessions each 20 minutes long, if you are anywhere close to a race track I can highly recommend it for an adrenaline kick and a big smile.

Here is my video from the event:

PS I did have to make several pit-stops to get air in a leaky tire, next time I will have four good tires!

JM, Looks like fun. I used to own a Nissan 350Z with plenty of mods. I took to the same track that our car club rented for the weekend. We did the infield track though which dumps out on the back straight.

I think it was about 7 turns and the final back straight. I had the Z up to 135 mph. I wonder what you saw in the F-Type using the large tri-oval?

If you ever get the chance again, run the infield course! (If I remember correctly it can be set up for two separate infield courses.) The turns are a blast!

Yep... here's the map of the course I did years ago. We ran the North course. I bet you hit some much higher top speeds running the tri-oval.

The highest I saw was 162 mph, but if it wasn't for the darn turns coming up it would eagerly keep going for more

And it might have been higher, I am not sure - it's hard to stare too long at the panel when turns are coming.

Nice! Never done a oval style course before. Must be pretty cool to do the banked turns.

I wouldn't be watching the speedo. This would have been a great time to play with the G-Meter gadget that I have never used...
