Smile Took The Plunge...

So, after making inquiries here back in August & keeping a lookout for a 2014 with the package I wanted, I traded in my 2008 Porsche Boxster S & took the plunge on a F-Type V8S with 4886 miles on the ODO with:
  • Black on Black
  • Climate Pack
  • Premium Pack
  • Vision Pack
  • Extended Leather Pack
  • Meridian Premium
  • Performance Pack
  • Grey top
  • 20" Silver Tornado Wheels
Drove it home from Atlanta to the Charlotte area (in the rain) & loved every second of it -- even the parts in stand-still Atlanta traffic.

Now I need to personalize it some:
  • Hardwire V1
  • Hardwire dashcam
Anyone have advice on where I can tap in for power & where to run/hide the wires? (I did this with 2 of my Boxsters & Wife's current Cayenne so I know a little about where I can hide wiring in a car.)

Also, I did a search but couldn't come up with anything -- the wind deflector is mesh & interferes with vision to the rear. I can't see cars behind me very clearly (eg, is that a cop back there?) Is there an aftermarket source for a clear (acrylic) wind deflector?

Congratulations and enjoy!!

Did you know the wind deflector is removable? Let me know if you didn't and need to know how. I've seen an aftermarket Acrylic one but can't remember where, I think it was an eBay? I will have a look.

Congratulations!!

Post some pics. Everyone wants the opportunity to ooooh & aaaah over it. Clearly, being able to look at our own cars whenever we want just isn't enough.

Thanks!

Yes, I know it is removable but it's also very functional so would like to have something there -- but something I can actually see thru. (It's also a neat place to put vinyl on.) Please let me know if you find it on eBay.

Hey, brother! I've PM'd you. I'm in Fort Mill; we should get coffee sometime.

Finally had some time when the weather was cooperating to take some photos. I also had to wash it as it had gotten absolutely filthy.

A VERY good one.

All kidding aside -- Up until 2 years ago, I worked exclusively night shifts in the ED. 17 years of nights finally took its toll & I had to switch to "normal" shifts. Of course, I still work in the ED.

Love the car -- and the tornadoes.
Also, It's interesting how many docs we have hanging around here

I'm a hospitalist program director and I like night shift in some respects too. But I like them in brief spurts. I'm a bit grouch after 3-4 in a row. I also worked some night shifts in an ED for a while. I cannot imagine doing that for 17 years.
