Looks like JLR have removed the free ability to run a VIN to get the build sheet info. I know about a monroney site that supposed to be able to reproduce the window sticker but I found things missing when I tried their service. My brother is joining the F Type fold so wanted to run some car specs for him. Any alternative?

Yep it's really a shame that they removed it because it was such an important source of information when shopping for Jags.

I think there's a guy over at the UK forum that can still look up build specs but the most common solution now seems to be that people ask a Jag dealer or JLR customer support to provide a topix extract for a given VIN. And if you buy a car from a JLR dealer it of course goes without saying that the dealer should supply an extract.

 

Certainly not exactly the same...But run the VIN (limited number free) through www.iseecars.com. It shows a ton of great info, including sale history, accidents, depreciation forecasts etc...

Used to be, until Jaguar put that info behind a paywall. He can still dig out lots of other info, though. As you noted, sending the VIN to Customer Services has yielded success for us Brits - not sure how they'd respond to overseas requests, but it's only an email so worth a try.

Hi, The above email didn't work for me. However the live chat window on Contact us | Jaguar Customer Service | Jaguar UK did. I needed to provide copy of the V5 document (I am in UK) but had the build specification emailed straight back. Really helpful support.
