A buddy of mine stated that he was able to buy "day insurance" for track days on his '16 vette for something like $600 for the day but he owns his free and clear so it is not financed. Some would caution against tracking a leased car. Read your lease coverage and the part about deposits and gap coverage & then see if the track you are planning to run offers track day insurance.

That's why lots of experienced track guys take a fun disposable car like a miata with a roll cage or an older corvette to the track - minimum risk of loss.
Alternatively, if you are going to run your f type, run in an intermediate group and don't go ***** out. At 9/10ths you can still have fun and maintain a slight safety margin and avoid the fools going 11/10ths. Also, the last two run groups of a track day are usually much less crowded, thereby lowering your odds of a collision.
One last thought, best to know the group you race with - find guys with a similar philosophy that they are there to have fun, and improve their track times/driving skills, not somehow hope to be discovered as the next wonder boy of racing.
