Anyone have an idea. Jaguar FType trunk is open but the latch is locked closed and can't close the boot. Can't seem to get it to release and open to close the trunk. trid the manual release in teh trunk too but won't release. anyone hav any ideas ? thanks

 

you will need to manually lift on the latching mechanism with a Phillips head screw driver or other rod while raising the hatch with the fob button.

 

tried that but it doesn't seem to unlatch and work either.. . even with quite a bit of force. .

 

maybe a long shot but I would probably try disconnecting and reconnecting the battery, then hitting the trunk button on the fob again. Or call jaguar roadside.

 

Is it a powered tailgate?
Does the remote key fob open/close all other functions? (i.e doors / gas tank flap etc)?
