Default Trunk Open - Convertible

There are buttons to open trunk (boot) both on remote and inside the cabin. When I press either, it opens latch but the lid doesn't move up at all. My other roadsters act differently, they also slightly open the lid.

Is my trunk (boot) lid mechanism out of alignment?

What you describe is normal. The remote and interior button simply unlatch the lid, and it is not designed to lift.

Not sure if it requires keyless entry, but there's also a button underneath the trunk lip. That's what I use the vast majority of the time.

It doesn't. It's also on my base w/o keyless entry, and that's also what I use most of the time.
