VAP Tune is great. Had it reliably for a few years now. Runs great with no issues. I have lots of other mods as well, mostly from VAP and all doing wonderful😉

Default Base v6 to s

Hello all. My base is a 15 model that received a dealer transplant with 7000 miles. Don’t know the details around the swap but the dealer records bare it out .currently 37k miles or 17k actual on the “new” motor. Can the dealer flash the S program on to my car ? If not is a Vap tune the next logical step?

I doubt a dealer could flash an S tune (380 PS) onto a base model (340 PS) even if they wanted to but that is a moot point as no dealer would ever do it anyway, they are forbidden to do so.
Far better to get a VAP Stage 1 tune (412 hp so around 417 PS) and flash it on yourself so yes that is the next logical step.
Even better would be to get a VAP Stage 2 tune (larger crank pulley plus tune) for not many more $, which takes it to 450 hp.
Long story short I went Stage 1 to start with then a couple of years later I went to Stage 2 and have not regretted it for one second.

Dealer has no ability to change the programming, when we flash anything it pulls from the UK server what the car is supposed to have, and then downloads the appropriate file. The user cannot affect what is done at all.

In theory you could raise a request for engineering to modify the CCF, but that would be 100% shot down as there is no reason to move away from the specifications the car was built to. Otherwise we'd just flash all the V8s with the 575hp tune in everything if we could, and the 400hp V6 tune from the Ftype in every other setup.

Also having driven some modded v6 cars, they are quite quick, feels almost as good as a V8 car, but the sound just doesn't do it for me. A tune/pulley V6 is no slouch though.

Unfortunately, we have never heard of a dealer being able to (or willing to) load a different trim file to a vehicle. We can absolutely help with this. You can use my contact information below and when we are back in the office on January 5th, we can help you get this going or walk through any other questions you may have.

Reach out for a quote , we carry Anti-gravity light weight batteries, lower , upper pulleys , intakes, TCU and ECU remote tuning done through a phone app on your phone.

Don't forget proper running can actually make changes in reliability in the positive direction. Stock programming is far from perfect and many things in OEM can be improved. Take the Eco start stop, it's far from good for your engine in fact it actually hurts your catalytic converters, your 02 sensors and frequent start stops cycles aren't the best for engine reliability. We can easily disable this in tuning and highly recommend this ,just one example..
Nice run!
If that thing had launch control it would easily be 10.5 or 10.6.
Very impressive.

Thank you!
Launch control would definitely help. Although even without, this car is capable of 10.5. On the 10.7 run it was .15 slower 0-60 due to traction issues at this track.
