Hah, luckily I didn't get to see that lady since I was in front. We do try to respect the residents up there but some just really hate anyone that goes up there for recreation. Motorcycles, cyclists, hikers, autos.

I PM'd you the C&C info.

Do you really think it's likely that JLR put extra interior sound deadening in the V8?
Foosh, I do not know, as a matter of fact, I have not sat in any of the Coupes, just looked at them as I have a Coupe so we were looking for a convertible.

BUT, my XKR-S has a full leather (not alcantara) ceiling which sure is different from standard XKs. So certainly the sound inside my cabin would sound differently than another V8 with the same exhaust. Did all the Coupes have the same roof or had one CF or the moon roof? Also I would have to look at all the exhaust systems again to see where the pre-resonators sit or if they have one at all, that would make a huge difference in terms of the noise you hear inside the cabin.

In anyway, measuring inside the cabin is influenced by more than what is coming out at the end of the pipe and therefor does not make sense to me in regards to comparing.

That's true, Swabe. However, they were trying to come close to measuring what the occupants hear. I've never heard my car without me inside it, other than at idle.

Yeah but you can lower the top and especially in a tunnel hear exactly what it sounds compared to a Coupe.

Yes, but also accompanied by a lot more wind noise.

I wish I had some tunnels here. Only got one going to Port of Miami. Having to resort to highway overpass for any sound.
