So, what’s it sound like. Most 4-bangers without a muffler sound like tractor engines.

WITH or WITHOUT a fist inserted into the outlet?

Liking or disliking the sound of various engine configurations is a matter of opinion. Think "American Muscle Car" rumble vs "Flat-plane crank" as in some Ferrari, Lotus, or Mustang V8s.

++++++

I'd like a sound clip, too, as we don't own either a 6 cylinder or 4 cylinder tractor on our half-acre farm.

This is was a video I made on a gopro type recorder one day, never did get a real good one done after, new tips fitted now and with the centre box delete sound is more aggressive , more pops and bangs, will get a video done, in storage now.

Exhaust note sounds OK, except for pops.

These pops are something I would expect from Woody Woodpecker. If you also play Ha Ha track, that would make the impression complete.

Good one maybe he's hiding somewhere funny enough the video does sound a bit different than real thing, it's more of a banging gun noise.
