Unsure
So I’m looking at buying this jaguar f type v6 s convertible. It’s a 2016 model with 47,000 miles and it has good maintenance records and everything. But on the window sticker it doesn’t show a limited slip differential which I thought every v6 s model had, should I be concerned or did they maybe just forget to mention it. Other v6 s (non convertibles) I looked at do mention a limited slip differential. I’m just more concerned maybe it isn’t an a real s model even though the money label says it is and it’s being sold as one. (I bought the window sticker from Monroe money labels). I also got the carfax for it and it matches their records and shows up as an s. Any help would be appreciated, Thanks!
The Monroney labels aren’t 100% accurate. I just looked at the actual window sticker for my V6S, it does say ‘limited slip differential.’
Do you have access to the car? There are a number of things you could look at - pop the hood, and look at the top of the shock towers. If there are harnesses coming out, then the car has adaptive suspension and is an S. Are there valves on the exhaust pipes leading into the muffler (I.e. in front of it)? Is so, it has active exhaust. Don’t think that was an option on the base, but not sure. V6S has the ‘high performance’ brake package, which requires 19” wheels (or larger) to clear the 380mm front brakes.

Yep, the easiest way to tell from ad photos is the front brakes.
The base has 355 mm front brakes and the S has 380 mm, I can tell the difference from a hundred miles away!
