Pretty sure the answer is no. I’d have to dig a little deeper tomorrow.
I think the early models don’t have position feedback. At the end of travel, motor amp draw increases and the controller senses this and automatically shuts off power.
Late models have position feedback built into the motor/gearbox.
Wiring diagrams are available at jagrepair.com. I can’t view them on my phone, but if you compare early and late model diagrams I think you will find the wiring is quite different:
