I think that my regulator is about to go on my passanger window too. 200 bucks? That sucks man, and you got it x2. Any idea how difficult it is to change the regulator? I don't think it's too difficult, but you just never know.

The rear window regulator wasn't hard to change at all.. took me about 25 minutes.

The front one is a differet story.. it looks about 3 times bigger to me.. I haven't looked at it yet.. will probably take it all apart tomorrow.

We'll see.

Ha! Both my rear passenger side and my front passenger side regs gave out. Bothwindows are being held up by sticks inside the door panel until I can afford to get them fixed. Also my front driver side is about to go soon. And you say you're pissed Sem? Ha!

I don't recall where I read this, but the Licon LS and Jaguar S-type are built on the same platformI remember reading that they share certain parts. I'm specifically talking about the window regulator. It would be much chaper to head down to a salvage yard, or Ebay, or what you prefer and just pick one up from an Lincon. Can anyone confirm this? I'm sure FORD shares other parts,as theydo with their other vehicles...

What your say is true - however, Lincoln LS had lots of problems with the regulators in 2000, 2001 and 2002, until they changed the regulator. So, be careful if you buy Lincoln regulators on some place like EBay or a salvage yard - you may be replacing defective regulators with defective regulators. You might be better off getting new ones from Jaguar or Lincoln Dealers to make sure you get the new ones made of metal rather than plastic, so your work won't be in vain. I had two go our on my 2000 LS and thank God the replacements were changed by the time they went out. Several people in the LLSOC Club replaced them numerous times in their LS's.

Yes I have a 2000 Lincoln LS (V8) and a 2003 Jaguar S-Type (V6) - bought them each used with low mileage and Factory warranty left.
