USB connection not recognized?
I just got my F-Type and today put a flash drive with music on it in one of the USB ports. I clicked on the button to play the USB, but it just says "Connect USB". For the life of me I can't figure out what I'm supposed to do next. In my XF it just recognizes it right away when you click on USB under the Source button. I'm guessing it's just my user error. Can someone please tell me what I'm doing wrong? Does it have anything to do with inControl apps or is this a completely separate issue? I've looked through some past threads on this issue and it seems that multiple things could be the problem, but I was hoping for a simple answer.
Thanks!

Thanks Larry, I had it in the wrong one at first but then tried the other port and it still didn't recognize that anything was plugged in. I'll try a new drive and see if that does it. I know how finicky these cars can be sometimes when it comes to electronics.
My previous car had issues with larger drives and I needed to reduce the filesystem block size from the default. I decided to just get smaller drives and have stuck with that. I think the drives I use in the F-Type are 16GB but I can check tomorrow. Each still has something like 1000+ hours of capacity. I could check tonight but I'm settled in
Anyway, recognizing nothing is probably filesystem format, problems with songs is probably music file format (type or bitrate).

Thanks everyone for the feedback. Problem solved. The Lexar flash drive works fine, the Kingston brand doesn't. Funny thing is the music file format is exactly the same. Must be something else technical about the difference in the brands.
I'll have to check what brand I'm using now. I had two identical Patriot 16GB drives (maximum size I could use with default filesystem settings in my last car) and one would halt while playing and then refuse to be recognized.
