Default Used F-Type Pricing: What am I missing here?

I am totally unaffiliated with the seller. Just found this one for sale when I was searching.
Jaguar F-TYPE S
It's priced at like half of what NADA says it should be.

My vote is either a typo or something seriously seriously wrong with it.

On the typo note, it's fun to go to autotrader and look at the most expensive cars. Lots of $2M Nissan Versas just waiting for the right buyer..

This brings back a memory of one time I got upset with my father... His boss was going through a bitter divorce and both the husband and the wife wanted to keep the Porsche. The judge made him sell it and split the proceeds. The husband (my dad's boss) but the car for sale in the local paper for ONE DOLLAR. I assume many people thought it was a joke, but one lucky person got one hell of a deal, and his ex wife got her 50 cents too!

Yes, something is very wrong. That price would be suspicious for even a base V6, but it purports to be a V8. There was no OEM 550HP version of the V8 in the '14MY.

It's either a scam ad, a badly accident damaged car, perhaps even a salvage titled vehicle.

A dog house? (and I can't help the fact that mom couldn't spell...)

That's the only logical thing that comes to my mind. If so, the ad is very misleading.

Someone will surely bite! Actually though, those are just test ads. I used to work for dealer.com and we had a process for auto populating Autotrader ads. During testing with clients they would always put in crazy pricing so not to get any actual buyers.

You know the old saying. If it sounds to good to be true, then it probably isn't true. Incidentally, the 2014 F-Type S V8 did not have 550 hp engine, it was a 495hp engine.

+1. There's been a huge uptick in scams involving Craigslist and local classified ads. The fact that it claims to be a '14 F-type S V8 with 550hp: Any owner inclined to do an owner-sale would know exactly how many horses.

You only have to sell 1.

+1 agree that this looks like a scam

I am curious to know why you Americans aren't crossing over to Canada to buy a used Jag with your fancy US dollars -- everything in Canada is 45% off with your US dollars. It's like a fire sale. Forget Craigslist -- go to Autotrader.ca and check out the F-types there.... just my Canadian 2cents (ie 1 cent USD)....

RickyJay52.....Awesome a first might I add that I heard of. I sold an iphone on ebay to some "nut", and I mean "nut" and frankly wanted to disconnect my account after the transaction (which I reversed as this was a supreme "PISTACHIO", or choose your favorite nut of choice). Couldn't imagine the high probability with a home sale of facing off with this type of individual, therefore glad it worked out for you. I said to my wife, been through a lot in my life, mostly all good, some bad and little "ugly" thank God.....and a nut on ebay wasn't my idea of fun and if I wasn't the type of person I am, this could have turned ugly.

Glad the house worked for you, but then again a first that I heard of via Craigslist !

Enjoy your day....and going out to dig out for the 3rd time :-(!
