Default Using remote starter to get the juices flowing while F-type sits in quarantine?

I looked through some threads about winter storage but couldn't find my (somewhat unique) scenario. At the beginning of December, I (fled) Canada after seeing some of the draconian lock down measures the government was imposing. I arrived in Miami and have now been here for 5 weeks -- with no return date in sight.

I'm starting to worry about my 2019 F-type R just sitting in my underground garage. I had no idea I would be away this long, so I did nothing to prepare the car to be sitting idle for this long. I'm trying to figure out if there's something I should be doing: (1) I could use the remote starter to just turn the car on for a few minutes just to get the juices flowing? ; (2) should I send a buddy over to add fuel stabilizer or something? The car is in an underground parking garage of a condo -- so, I can buzz someone into the building to then access the car but that person wouldn't have a key to actually drive the car.

Assuming I end up back in Canada within another 4 weeks -- resulting in a total of 9 weeks of sitting idle -- should everything be ok??

You can't use the remote app now. The telemetrics module in the car goes to sleep after 3 or 4 days of inactivity to save draining the battery.

And even if you'd set a wakeup time so you could remote start it, you have to actually drive the car to be able to set another wakeup time. That is an annoying "feature", having to know exactly when you're going to use the car to set a wakeup time.

Regarding fuel, I have a backup Nissan Almera that I use when the F-Type is off the road, and it's been so reliable the Almera's typical annual mileage is to and from the annual vehicle test, although I do run it periodically for half an hour to get its juices flowing. Looking at my records, the fuel tank gets filled up about every two years and I have never had any fuel related problems. I should really get rid of it but, you know, "just in case".

I reckon your 9 weeks should be okay - hope you don't prove me wrong!

9 weeks sitting is not a big deal, at most your battery will go flat.

My concern is if you try to remote start it, then somehow run out of gas, you will be risking fuel pump damage.

9 weeks should be no issue whatsoever unless you have a weak battery.

+1 on the belief that the fuel presently in the car will not pose an issue.

Just to be on the safe side, read-up on others experiences who had discharged batteries, and needed to jump-start the car. Hopefully you have the emergency key in your FOB.

Thanks everyone for this. Really helpful info -- I'll have to cross my fingers about the battery holding up.
