So I just bought a 2017 base V6 with no options, but it has switchable exhaust... is that normal?
I thought I read they don't come with that.

Now it would be really cool is it had a limited slip rear too!

 

Switchable active exhaust wasn’t standard on the base, but was available as an option. LSD has never been an option on the base, unfortunately. Member Unhingd is working on a Torsen-style replacement diff, don’t know if it would work with the base.

While uncommon it was an option, Jordan.Ftype just bought a base 16 and his also came with the switchable active exhaust. Nice that you have that option. makes it so you don't need to go aftermarket like the base non active one, which isn't loud enough.

 

An update... my 2017 base V6 manual has switchable exhaust and a limited slip diff.
Maybe this is standard on the manuals???
My window sticker shows no options.

 

the Earlier manual cars all came with the switchable exhaust, towards the end jaguar got cheap and made it an option, never heard of LSD on the base though, manual or auto, could be wrong though, wouldn't be the first time haha.

 

This was my understanding as well. Never heard of an LSD on a base V6.

 

Correct. 2016-17 manual Base models included switchable exhaust.
