Depends on which part you are talking about.
In the second graphic part # 3 is the SC intercooler radiator and part # 4 (which lies horizontal not vertical) is the auxiliary (engine coolant) radiator fitted only to "hot climate" market F-Types. Engine cooling only, nothing to do with the SC.
Quote from the Workshop Manual: "The auxiliary radiator is connected in parallel with the (main) radiator to increase the engine cooling capacity on hot climate market vehicles."
I don't remember seeing this part on my F-Type, and on my travails through XF and XFR coolant systems I remember reading that in JLR speak "hot climate" means pretty much the Middle East and nowhere else and Oz is not considered "hot climate". Never mind that it often gets to 110 F plus where I am in Adelaide, go figure!
I have that horizontal radiator. On the last service call, the tech noticed it was all fouled with leaves and road debris. Undertray removed and brackets unbolted to drop it enough to clean out the crap on top. I can't imagine the U.S. is considered a warm climate, but maybe so.
Opps never mind my V6S comes with the auxiliary horizontal radiator
And yes it’s full of leaves and crap. The integrated lip diverts air directly to the aux horizontal radiator. So yes we’re considered a hot climate according to JLR.
Too bad we can't get Eaton, or another manufacturer to design a bigger supercharger for us and get a group buy going!
Eaton has lots of larger TVS models. The issue would be in machining a transition piece to fit between the SC and the engine, and building an intercooler that fits properly on top.
Mine is having it's mid-life refresh. VAP valvetronic exhaust is on, unfortunately the valance ($5,000) didnt come with the tow hook cover, so that's another $200 for about 2 inches square of plastic lol. Just waiting for a new supercharger belt which should be fitted today and then I'll be getting it back woohoo!
If you admire the shine in the picture, I have used "Polish Angel" products on it which I think give a great result.

Can you just use the tow hook cover from the old valance?
Just had a look at mine and it looks to be the same size and shape as the hole in your pic.
OK, fair 'nuff.
$200 seems a bit steep, it is listed on the RenoJag site at $74.54 US see here: https://parts.jaguarreno.com/oem-par...bC12OC1nYXM%3D
Even with the crap exchange rate and postage it should still work out a fair bit less than $200 AU, but I'm guessing you have already ordered / paid for one from the local dealership.
Seriously, after what I've spent on the exhaust and valance and the pulley and the tune, $200 is like meh! It's like getting hit 50 times by Mike Tyson and then getting upset because he slipped one into your nuts.
Edit : having picked up the car with the VAP touring exhaust on it, I feel like Mike Tyson has given me a few to the ears, and that is in quiet mode...

To increase airflow, can the back plate of side grills be removed?
[/QUOTE]
If not channeled properly, opening up those vents could increase aerodynamic drag or lift. At one time, kits were available to enable those vents for brake cooling on the carbon ceramics. The kits were discontinued. It was speculated the reason was road grit/debris being routed directly into the rotors.
I debadged my S ages ago (still has the grill badge though) and I don't give a damn as absolutely no-one here in South Oz would have the foggiest idea of the differences between a base F-Type and an S.
That said I wouldn't mind sticking a "450" badge on the **** end just to cause a few to scratch their heads, do some research and come up blank!
Edit - just found the perfect stick on badges on Fleabay, ordered!
4, 5, and 0 badges finally arrived on the slow boat from China so I stuck 'em on.
Good quality, bright metal with gloss black painted/enamel centres, matches my paint scheme perfectly.
Looks good I reckon (although I think I got the 5 a little skew whiff, pointing down a little too much, hand fitted one at a time), will keep the punters guessing as to WTF this car is!
Pics attached:
Just goes to prove I ain't no cool dude let alone a cool kid.
Checked it out on Wiki and the origin is obscure to say the least!
No such cool or obscure meaning for 450 that I can find.
