I try to be good when I'm being good, and when I'm not being good I don't care. I've topped the 4500 rpm break-in recommendation maybe 3 or 4 times, but not by much. The little green light is useful when I'm cruising and could be in a higher gear. The engine is wonderfully smooth, especially considering it's a truncated V-8; a mutant that should have fewer balancing mechanisms and 30 degrees less angle in the V ...
I'm accustomed to V90 engines.

Nice bike. But yes i'm still seeing around 23-25 mpg on average and the instrument panel is still consistently 2 mpg off.

I favor Ducati over Moto Guzzi, but understand the appeal. Many riding buddies over the years have had them. The one I rode the most was a Daytona 1000. They're twins though. A 90 degree V6 isn't as compact as 60 degrees and requires counterbalancing.

Back on topic, my indicated mpg for the second tank (didn't check the first) was 1.4 mph higher than actual.

As a matter of interest, what does the car say your average speed is?
15mpg - Average speed 27.5 mph
Which i suspect is high. Car has seen a lot of highway as of late.

Default Sunday drive.

Took my wife out to lunch to Copper Mountain, CO. From home (8600 ft elevation.) through Leadville (10,000 ft), over the Fremont Pass (11,318 ft) and down to Copper Mountain (9712 ft). Round trip just about 104 miles. Computer showed average round-trip was 33.5 mpg. I have a Base Coupe with just 350 miles on the odo now; not pushing, just cruising at the speed limit except when passing. Photos at the Copper Mountain entrance.

That should have been a fantastic drive. Beats being one of the cyclists climbing up to Fremont Pass.

It should. My R averaged 27 mpg on a 900 mile trip this past weekend. That's with cruise on and set at 80mph plus some city driving.

Not bad at all.

Filled up again today. Averaging 19.1 mpg so far, including all refueling. Partial data for 20.6 mpg indicated by trip computer and 33.5 mph average speed. I missed the first fillup with those because I was expecting each value to reset individually like my C30, not all together.
