Default V6 TUNING

Hi Everyone, I recently Purchased a 2017 F type V6 Auto Coupe Base. So far I have done the AP Velocity Tune + Lower Pulley and also K&N air filters. I have also purchased 20inch Carbon blade rims for better traction. Coming from a 600hp BMW M4 I am determined to make this car as quick as I can!! Does anyone here have suggestions, ideas of what else I can do to make this car quicker. Thanks in advance!

Welcome to the forum V6 TUNING,

I've moved your question from Jaguar Forums Feedback & Suggestion Centre to F-Type forum. The Feedback & Suggestion Center is for posts about the forum and NOT for technical questions. This is the place post questions about your model.

I have done the same mods as you. Without getting into the engine, the only things left are:

VelocityAP 200 Cell Cats
Velocity AP headers
EuroToys intercooler upgrade.
Water/Meth injection
NOS

I am sure there are other minor things that can be done in weight savings, etc. but the 800HP monsters that are common in the BMW scene haven't materialized in Jaguars (yet???)).

I tuned my M3 back in the late 90's. BMW has so many more options available and the bottom end of those motors are literally indestructible.

I think the Jag motors we are running are on par with the BMW motors but there is nowhere near the number of options or tuning companies making an effort to service the market. But its a main attraction and is actually why I chose Jaguar as my brand...just the exclusivity.

Right now, I am pretty sure that there is no other car like mine in my state. I like that. I just installed the lower pulley today. I have been running on tune only, but the crank pulley really makes it all come together. Its a 'must have' because even though the tune delivers, it does not give you the low end torque that the crank pulley does. Now that the crank pulley is on, the car really squats and launches hard in the low and mid range. I will be taking it to the dyno next Thursday to see what it gained. You might want to look up relevant posts by Unhingd and Stohlen, as they are who I followed to get to where I am. Looking to spray next, but I am having trouble finding a place to help build it out.

and yes. With the tune only, I went H2H from stoplight to stoplight with a 2016 M4 and I kept up with him. Missed my shifts both times, but he had lots of pull because of the higher torque and if it was a longer distance, he would have easily pulled away. Now with the pulley, I think the Jag could take on an M4 and win out.

Also with tune only, I did a freeway run with a new Z4 and he could not pull away. With the tune + pulley, you will be able to jump ahead or reel them in if they get in front.
