I just traded my 2014 V8S for a 2020 SVR, and wow! . . . So much more room and it rides much higher!
All joking aside, it was time to sell my beloved 2014 V8 S. We were using it less and less, and it wasn't the best fit for our situation. So it was a tough decision, but the F-Pace fits us perfectly. As you know, the drive train shares much in common and the experience is similar, though not quite as visceral as the F-Type. My F-Type had the VAP stage 1 and the experience was glorious. The SVR is much more muted (sound), but you can feel what's lurking underneath. The speed is there however.
The 2020 has a warranty through mid-2026, so I will be going with VAP tune, probably stage 2 this time, when it expires. I had an overwhelmingly great experience with VAP, both product and customer service, so I'm looking forward to their tune, and maybe one of the pulleys this time. I will also be installing their lightweight disc set when it's time, as I grabbed a great deal during their black Friday sale. Maybe a resonator delete too.
I will continue to lurk in the F-Type forum and contribute when I can. Thank you all, as I learned quite a bit from many of you. I sorely miss the F-Type and have absolutely no regrets. I wish could manage both . . .
I hope the new owner appreciates the genuine P7 grill on her!
