Default Valve stem caps

Where can you purchase plastic valve stem caps for the 2017 F-Type? I have read that metal caps are dangerous.

I am totally puzzled as to "why" they could possibly be considered "dangerous".

Please explain your post a bit further.

It wouldn't be dangerous, just a pita to get off. Order some plastic ones off of ebay or Mina Gallery has some cool ones.

Huh? Valve stem caps are just valve stem caps. I remember back in the early days of TPMS manufacturers advised that metal valve stem caps could interfere with the signal to the display. If that was even true, it sure isn't today because I have used decorative metal caps on a number of vehicles without any problems.

Yea, I've used the fancy aluminum valve stem caps without issue. Silly.

I read that they interfered with the TPMS system which resulted in tire failure. Also, some mentioned that the metal caps had an affect on the alloy wheels. They were not compatible. This was all on the F-Type forum. One stated that only aluminum caps had no affect on the alloys!! I also thought these comments were kind of strange. Thanks for all your replies.

The monochrome ones are even subtler. And they match nicely with the revised sill plate I swapped out....

Everything - the look, the sound, and even my driving - couldn't possibly be more subtle. So why wouldn't I want to add a little splash?

Besides, the Union Jack - the actual British flag - is in full color.

Best regards and Happy Motoring,
RJ52

I also have the Union Jack valve stem caps on my OE wheels. On my aftermarket wheels, I have plain black aluminum caps.

And to answer the OP's original question: "Where to get them for..." They're universal.

As I recall, metal caps can corrode and then are very difficult to remove.

In the Winter, I use anti-seize to prevent this.

This is the only valve that I ever found that was close to the red ones you are looking for:JAGUAR GROWLER RED MOTORSPORTS 20mm WHEEL CAR VALVE TYRE DUST CAPS ALL MODELS | eBay. I just opted for the black ones you show.

The devil is in the details my dear Joe. And, occasionally, behind the wheel? (had two friends riding convoy with me from NYC to Maine and both of them got pulled over doing 120+ (Fortunately, or unfortunately, I was already long gone) and the line my friend wanted to use to the State Trooper was "officer, we were riding on the coat tails of the devil").

With apologies for the highjack.

The metal ones can seize and corrode the valve stems. I bought oem British fla caps for our 15 LR4. I though they were plastic like the oem growler caps I bought for my XF. Over two winters they seized on the stems and had to be broken to be removed. Ruined 1 valve stem, other three need replacement soon. Anti-seize needed if you use these as stated. This is particular problem in winter climates that also use de-icing salts. Also top heavy metal ones have been reported to cause issues. Lengthy discussion on this in the XF forum a few years back.
