Smile VAP questions..?

I am very intrigued by the VAP upgrades...in particular the ECU tuning/Stage 3. I like the current "sound" of my 2016 S so not sure if a pipe or exhaust is in the cards?...my question is other than the ECU tuning should I be considering anything else?...I've read intake and possibly other things but am confused...any personal experience or comments greatly appreciated...Cheers...

Unfortunately, it would be a 2 hour ferry ride followed by a 4 hour drive...

Sorry, still a lot closer than east coast..... I'd just call them or email them your questions if you don't find them here. There are many, many threads on them here. Great company.

475hp on pump e10 US super unleaded (and 550 with e85) is nothing to ignore.... My time with it has been fine. I would get metal coolant hoses and do maintenance as the severe rate.....I put new plugs in to be safe, new are filters, new S/C fluid, a new SC snout that was solid (no noise yet, but pulling the OEM out, the mechanic noted it was about to go...). I also changed my diffs/transfer case and tranny fluid....just because (at 55-60k miles it made sense).

Good luck. Car becomes a monster.

Note that VAP typically has a Black Friday (US Thanksgiving) sale, which may be worth waiting for. They also have a one-time discount for forum members, I believe.

I have the VAP stage 1 upgrade and it has been incredible [340-416hp]. Just as significant [for me] was the lowering springs I had installed [along with the spacers]. I did this mainly because I didn't like the body roll sensation in turns. The lowering springs totally eliminated that feeling and created a more aggressive stance, as well. The springs are also considerably stiffer so that's a trade off [rougher ride], but to me, handling is key.

I am not sure which upgrade I like better, but they were both well worth it!

I have the VAP Stage 2 tune (larger crank/power pulley and tune, 450 hp), VAP lowering springs, and Mina Gallery lower intake system.
Each of these has been among the best bang for your buck I know of for the V6 F-Type, very happy with all of them.
Conversely this is the first car I have ever owned where I have not modified the exhaust at all as it sounds plenty good enough dead stock.
The combination of the tune and Mina intake has released mucho SC whine to compliment the exhaust note which I think is a tad louder and better due to the tune and intake but that could just be a placebo effect.
As for further appearance mods the remaining best bang for your buck is wheel spacers I have 15 mm front and 20 mm rear and they make a yuge difference to the stance and looks.

Default VAP

I’m stage 2 - so pulley, tune and their 200 cell Downpipes. Also running BMC air
filters
im blown away by how good and how hard she pulls.
with valves open, it’s fairly loud
but can easily close them for more subdued sound
but I’m super happy. Car flies
