Default Variation in Wheel Gap between AWD and RWD models?

I have a 2016 F type S RWD. It’s currently lowered on velocity AP springs and sits in my opinion, where it probably should have from the factory in terms of wheel gap. There’s about two finger widths of wheel gap. I met up with my cousin yesterday who bought a used 2016 F type S AWD convertible

on the same size wheels and tires that sits nearly as low as mine in terms of wheel gap. Maybe a hair higher. As far as we know, his car has not been lowered. Did the AWD models sits lower from
the factory due to weight? It seemed to me by the naked eye that R’s sat a bit lower as well, but I’ve never actually checked that. Is there variation between different models and years? Thanks.

R's and AWD models probably do sit a few millimeters lower due to the added weight. I have nothing official to offer here though.

I seem to remember that the specs showed that the AWD car actually sat a bit higher than the RWD version.
