VelocityAP Jaguar F-Type ECU Tuning, V6, V6S, V8S, V8R
[QUOTE=Brava;1756609]How difficult is to install de pulley and tune myself? Considering buying one[/QUOTE
I have the VAP tune on my 2015 F type R and its been really good and as its rear wheel drive I did not do the pulley as my traction is at the limit with the tune only.
The tune is easy to install, although I am completely useless on a computer, I was actually able to follow the instructions and it all worked which surprised me as I expected problems. I called Stuart at VAP and he was helpful as well. Actually if I need to take it to the dealer and take the tune out before hand, I will likely find it challenging, but since I was able to add the tune originally, I expect to be able to do it without too much problem.
I believe others will advise that the lower pulley install is fairly straight forward.
Lawrence.

as with anything under the car, trying to install the lower pulley without a way of getting the car into the air is a serious challenge. If you can get it on a lift, the pulley kit is a fairly easy installation.
I did it with no lift at age 59 but I am not mentally stable. As unhingd
stated straight forward. With a lift quite straight forward. One member on forum did a phenomenal step by step pictorial that was 100 percent spot on!

Has anyone successfully installed a lower pulley on an SVR? VAP's product page indicates that the crank pulley does not fit the SVR. Any specific info as to why?
I told myself a few weeks ago that I wasn't going to touch either pulley, but here I am...

I believe a good bit of the gains in torque/power in the SVR are tune related. I think some of those differences are incorporated in Stuart's tunes. I'm inferring this from some email dialogue I've had with him. Maybe I misread (and did the ASSume thing!).
100% of the SVR gains are tune related. And if you want Velocity AP can just install the SVR tune into your car. They have it.
Probably because none of the SVRs have the oversized lower pulley. A tuned R with a lower pulley is no doubt able to overshadow the power of a tuned SVR. Same engine and tune...more boost.

I found one I think will work, a couple actually, just haven't tried them yet.

Ok...we're back to the races. Stuart, please call me tomorrow on that other matter.
Did this ever get answered? I'm in the same boat with a 2015 base V6. Very interested.
I have a 2015 V6 base with the VAP tune and lower pulley. I don't have any official numbers so all I can say it makes a big difference. Can't imagine not having done it at this point.
I now have Pulley and Tune in Base. It's worlds apart, I blew away a Maserati MC Stradle on the freeway and he was pushing!
That is awesome guys. I drove the R the other day and what was most prevalent was the immediate torque of the V8 under the foot. There was no hesitation unlike the 6 which had just a little float of the pedal until kicking in. Did the pulley rectify that at all? Please describe in full color what the new, improved car feels like.
Thanks.
Thanks.
With tune and pulley, the V6 comes close to matching the power to weight ratio of the V8S. Peak torque actually comes on much lower in the rpm range than with the un-tuned V8. As opposed to lag, the power comes on more quickly than I was originally comfortable with. You have to be judicious with throttle input until you get over 4000 rpm. Over 4000 rpm is where the V8 overshadows a tuned & pullied V6.
