This vid sold me on active exhaust for my base v6, in case anyone is pondering it

Sounds fun, but I'm £1550 better off, and still have a grin on my face that has nothing to do with what I spent that much cash on. It's been several years since I last went to Vegas though.

But once I got the V8S I realized that you can get the V6 to make a lot of noise if you go in paddle shifting mode and do not shift until you reach high revs. That's pretty much the only way I can get teh V8S to make noise in city traffic.
good vid that every f-type shopper should watch. active exhaust seems like a frivolous option but totally worth it.
Nice - thanks. My V6S has active exhaust (when Dynamic Mode is on), but not switchable active exhaust. Mine doesn't make the fun sounds if I just rev it while stopped, like the video. It only does that when I'm driving and put my foot down.
Looks to me, from thinking logically
that if you have a V6S (but don't have the active exhaust switch - like DJS) then it probably can be added simply by adding the switch as the other hardware is already there. The base model doesn't have active exhaust system by default, so those cars would actually need the hardware - probably a pricey upgrade at the dealer (if even possible).
