Default Watch and F-Type pairing (no, not digitally)... What do you wear?

Curious as to what watch everyone pairs their F-Type with... Contemporary and sleek Oyster Perpetual Datejust? Edgy and modern Audemar or Hublot? Or race inspired timelessness of TAG Carrera or Monaco? An ocean of options out there that compliment the F-Type extremely well.

I've been wearing a TAGHeuer Formula 1 the most lately. Utilitarian and rooted in some of auto racing's best days.

My everyday watch is a IWC pilot chrono, but might go with the new Tag Connected soon.

The Pilot is quite possibly, in my opinion, one of the best everyday watches in existence. Connected looks pretty cool too. Android is a drawback for me and will have to see in person, but it looks a bit large.... Coming from a Hublot fan... lol

I've never been into the watch thing at all. As a light-hearted, "statement of protest," I've always proudly worn various beaten to hell Timex watches and never worn one out. However, I recently splurged and bought an Apple Watch, where I usually keep Mickey on the face.

Android is a plus for me, not an Apple guy. I actually went to buy it at Bloomingdales SF (one of the few places that has them available beside the NY flagship store) the 2nd day, but it was already sold out!!!! It looks nice and is super light. If you like the Carrera style (which I do), then you'll like it. BUT, it was very big on my girly wrist. That's the deal breaker for me from placing an order.

Definitely would like to try one on. I have medium wrists and prefer 42-46mm so this isn't too far out of my comfort zone.

I know quite a few people who just aren't into them. That's always been understandable on my end. Some people can't imagine spending more than 30k on a car... It's something I think some people are just born with. A tick so to speak, where the movement of tiny things, inside a small case, all moving in unison create a function so simple and beautiful. Nobody likes the guy who says, "WELL, but its made here and it does this, and it cost this much and blah blah blah." Makes you wanna

I have not worn a watch in over 20 years. The day my cell phone gave me the time was the day my watches went away.....I kept losing them anyway.

I agreed with you 100% until the Apple Watch became available. The beauty of it is that it simply mirrors and performs the same functions that are on your phone via either Wi-Fi or Bluetooth. When it's inconvenient to be holding a phone, I just keep the phone in a pocket or close by. If your phone is connected to Wi-Fi, your watch is as well, so it's mirroring anywhere within Wi-Fi range, like your entire house. I make and take phone calls on the watch, receive and dictate texts, arm and disarm my alarm system, monitor my security cameras, ask Siri a question, use Apple Pay, check the weather, whatever the phone does. It even motivates me to exercise more.

The same seamless technology that today gives the Apple Watch such functionality is immediately transferable to vehicle infotainment systems.. Imagine the Apple Watch screen simply made bigger and placed in the same location as the screen on our F-Types. It would be totally driven by your phone.

If you're an Android person, similar devices are on the way as usual about 6-12 months behind Apple.

It's two thumbs up for me to have a watch that's finally more useful for something other than looking pretty and telling the time.

All cheap watches are electric and keep better time than most mechanical movements, also just throw away and replace. That said I wear a Breitling Chronomat 44 2-tone and a new Cartier 2-tone diver.

Lol. That took a quick turn. You could make the same argument for a car. "This Cavalier gets me to where I need to go safely..." Yeah, but it's not an F-Type. I equate cars and watches very similarly. Though I realize the majority does not.

Btw the Calibre De Cartier is flawless imo

I am quite the watch lover.

Currently I have a cartier pasha seatimer has been my daily. I also have an iwc portuguese that gets pulled out for days when I need to wear a suit.

Just sold my panerai 111 that's going to be replaced by a 424.
